Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Miniature Cattle & Animal Farm, we understand that many of our customers live outside the local area. Our farm is located in Waleska, Georgia, and we work with buyers throughout Georgia and across the United States.
Because we sell live animals, delivery is handled differently from ordinary product shipping. Our priority is always the health, safety, and well-being of the animal throughout the transportation process.
1. Farm Pickup
Buyers are welcome to pick up their animal directly from our farm in Waleska, Georgia by appointment.
Before pickup, the buyer must:
Have the remaining purchase balance paid in full
Have appropriate transportation
Have a safe and suitable way to transport the animal
Complete any required paperwork
Confirm the pickup appointment
The animal will not be released until the required payment and applicable documentation have been completed.
2. Transportation and Delivery
If you cannot pick up your animal personally, we can help coordinate transportation when available.
Depending on the animal and destination, transportation may be arranged through an appropriate professional livestock or animal transportation provider.
Transportation arrangements may include:
Professional livestock haulers
Species-appropriate animal transporters
Buyer-arranged transportation
Other transportation arrangements approved by the farm
Availability depends on the animal, destination, route, timing, weather, and transporter availability.
3. Nationwide Delivery
We work with buyers outside Georgia and can help coordinate transportation throughout the United States when appropriate transportation is available.
Delivery is not ordinary parcel shipping.
Each animal requires transportation that is appropriate for its:
Species
Size
Age
Health
Number of animals traveling
Destination
Length of journey
Weather conditions
4. Transportation Costs
Transportation costs are generally separate from the purchase price of the animal.
The buyer is responsible for transportation costs unless the written sales agreement specifically states otherwise.
The final transportation cost may depend on:
Pickup location
Delivery location
Distance
Species
Number of animals
Transporter
Route
Timing
Special handling requirements
Required veterinary documentation
State requirements
Transportation quotes are provided separately when available.
5. 30% Reservation Deposit
A 30% deposit is required to reserve an animal unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The deposit allows us to remove the animal from active availability and begin preparing it for its new home.
Preparation may include:
Health preparation
Veterinary care
Applicable testing
Vaccinations
Health records
Registration paperwork
Identification
Transportation preparation
Required documentation
Scheduling
If the buyer cancels before pickup or delivery, 90% of the reservation deposit will be refunded.
The remaining 10% is retained as a reservation and preparation fee.
The remaining 70% balance must be paid in full before the animal leaves our farm, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Health Records & Documentation
We take the health of every animal seriously.
Before an animal leaves our farm, we prepare the applicable health and sale documentation for the individual animal.
Depending on the species and animal, documentation may include:
Vaccination records
Veterinary records
Health records
Testing records
Registration papers
Registration transfer documents
Identification information
Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), when applicable
Other documentation required for transportation
If You Choose Transportation
If you choose to have your animal transported, the applicable health records and sale documentation will be provided to you as part of the delivery process.
We want you to have the information you need when your animal arrives at its new home.
7. Interstate Transportation
Requirements for transporting livestock between states can vary depending on:
Animal species
Origin state
Destination state
Animal age
Intended purpose
Testing requirements
Identification requirements
Current state or federal regulations
When applicable, we work with our veterinarian to prepare the required veterinary documentation and coordinate with the transportation provider.
The buyer must provide accurate delivery information, including the complete destination address and state.
The buyer is responsible for informing us of the animal’s final destination before transportation is arranged.
8. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection
When a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection or other veterinary documentation is required for the animal’s movement, we will coordinate with our veterinarian as appropriate.
Requirements can change, so the applicable requirements for the specific animal and destination will be confirmed before transportation.
9. Animal Identification
When identification is required for transportation, registration, health records, or applicable regulations, the animal’s appropriate identification information will be included with the applicable documentation.
Identification requirements vary by species and destination.
10. Transportation Scheduling
Transportation dates and delivery times are coordinated between the buyer, farm, veterinarian when necessary, and transportation provider.
We cannot guarantee an exact delivery date or time until transportation has been confirmed.
Schedules may change because of:
Weather
Road conditions
Traffic
Animal health
Veterinary requirements
Transportation availability
Route changes
Government requirements
Delays involving other animals on the transport route
Animal safety takes priority over maintaining a particular delivery schedule.
11. Weather Delays
We reserve the right to postpone transportation when weather or environmental conditions could place the animal at unnecessary risk.
This may include:
Extreme heat
Severe cold
Storms
Ice
Flooding
Dangerous road conditions
Other unsafe travel conditions
If transportation needs to be delayed for animal safety, we will communicate with the buyer and transportation provider to determine the safest alternative.
12. Preparing Your Property Before Delivery
The buyer is responsible for having the animal’s new home ready before delivery.
Before your animal arrives, we recommend having:
Secure fencing
Appropriate shelter
Clean drinking water
Species-appropriate feed
Appropriate pasture or turnout
Safe gates
Appropriate bedding when necessary
A safe unloading area
Species-appropriate supplies
Access to a qualified veterinarian
If you already have animals, speak with your veterinarian about appropriate quarantine, biosecurity, and introduction procedures before bringing the new animal into your herd or group.
13. Receiving Your Animal
When your animal arrives, we recommend that you:
Inspect the animal upon delivery.
Confirm that the animal appears safe and well enough for arrival.
Review the health and sale documentation provided.
Move the animal into its prepared area.
Provide appropriate water and care.
Contact your veterinarian if you have concerns.
Follow any applicable instructions provided by our farm.
If you notice a significant concern at delivery, contact us promptly and document the concern with photographs or video when appropriate.
14. Veterinary Examination After Delivery
We encourage every buyer to establish a relationship with a local veterinarian and have the animal examined after arrival.
The applicable Health Guarantee will state any required veterinary examination period and conditions for making a health-related claim.
The buyer is responsible for veterinary costs after delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
15. No Refund After Pickup or Delivery
Because these are live animals, all sales are final after pickup or delivery, except for protections specifically provided under the applicable written Health Guarantee or as otherwise required by law.
If you cancel before pickup or delivery, 90% of your 30% reservation deposit is refundable according to our Refund & Return Policy.
Once the animal has been picked up or delivered, the purchase price is not refundable simply because the buyer changes their mind or the animal is no longer wanted.

16. Transportation Damage or Injury
We take reasonable steps to coordinate safe transportation.
Once an independent transportation provider has accepted the animal, transportation is also subject to the provider’s policies and responsibilities.
If a transportation-related concern occurs, notify us and the transporter as soon as possible and document the condition of the animal upon arrival.
The applicable Health Guarantee and transportation agreement will govern any applicable claim.
17. Buyer-Arranged Transportation
Buyers may arrange their own transportation when appropriate.
The transportation method must be suitable for the species and animal being transported.
The buyer is responsible for ensuring that their transporter is appropriately equipped and capable of safely transporting the animal.
Once the animal is released to a buyer-authorized transporter, the buyer assumes responsibility for the transportation arrangement, subject to the applicable sales agreement and Health Guarantee.
18. International Transportation
International animal transportation involves additional requirements and is handled on a case-by-case basis.
Depending on the destination, requirements may include:
Veterinary examinations
Health certificates
Testing
Import permits
Export documentation
Quarantine
Customs requirements
Transportation requirements
Other government approvals
International transportation is not automatically available for every animal.
Please contact us before making an international purchase so we can determine whether transportation can be arranged.
19. Delivery Address
The buyer must provide an accurate delivery address before transportation is scheduled.
The delivery location should have:
Safe vehicle access
A suitable unloading area
Appropriate animal housing
Secure fencing
Someone available to receive the animal
Additional delivery requirements may apply depending on the transporter.
20. Failed or Delayed Delivery
If delivery cannot be completed because the buyer is unavailable, the property is inaccessible, the unloading area is unsafe, the address is incorrect, or other circumstances are caused by the buyer, additional transportation or boarding charges may apply.
These costs are the buyer’s responsibility.
21. Communication During Transportation
When appropriate, we will coordinate with the buyer and transporter regarding the transportation schedule.
The transporter may provide the buyer with updates concerning the animal’s progress and expected delivery.
Delivery timing may change during the trip.
22. Our Priority
Our priority is not simply getting an animal from Georgia to its destination as quickly as possible.
Our priority is getting the animal there safely, appropriately, and with the necessary health and sale documentation.
We work to prepare each animal for a smooth transition from our farm to its new home.
